With over 200 museums, Israel has the highest number of cultural venues per capita of any country in the world, and much of the country’s tourism is linked to the historical importance of this area. With such a complex history and such importance to different religions, it is little surprise that antique shops and flea markets in Israel (also known as Shuk or Souk) are like museums too in themselves. This country is truly a collector’s paradise and places like Shuk Hapishpeshim and Tel Aviv Antiques Market at Dizengoff feel like there are historical treasures to be found around every corner.
