The Oswestry Antique & Collectors Fair, a key event for antiquarians in the heart of North Wales, has been a magnet for collectors and dealers alike since its inception in 2006. As well as attracting national attention, this illustrious gathering is regularly featured on the BBC's Bargain Hunt, a testament to its importance in the antiques community.
With over 200 dealers from the UK, Ireland, and beyond, the fair showcases a wealth of collectibles, each with its own story and provenance. The fairgrounds are a testament to meticulous planning, boasting seamless logistics that facilitate a smooth and enjoyable experience. Accessibility is paramount, with ample parking and over 36 acres of open space ensuring that every visit is unhindered and comfortable.
The infrastructure at Oswestry supports a diverse range of stalls. Three permanent buildings cater for those who prefer a sheltered display of their antiques, while the expansive open-air grounds welcome the rest, providing an almost limitless canvas for vendors.
Diversity is the hallmark of the Oswestry Fair. Stalls abound with historical and cultural artifacts: elegant antique furniture, vintage clothing, shimmering gold and silver items, extensive coin and stamp collections, and nostalgic postcards are just a few of the treasures on offer. Bibliophiles can enjoy a wide selection of books, while fine jewelry collectors will find plenty to admire. There's also the chance to find rare finds such as classic cars and unique architectural salvage, all of which speak to the eclectic tastes of the vendors.
The organizers and vendors of the Oswestry Fair go the extra mile to ensure that the fair is not just a marketplace, but an informative experience. Experts are readily available to educate and advise on the pieces, adding depth to the visitor's experience. With a variety of food and beverage options strategically placed throughout, the fair promises not only a cultural feast but also a culinary respite, inviting visitors to indulge in a day-long exploration of history and heritage.
In short, the Oswestry Antique & Collectors Fair is a beacon for all things vintage and historic. It is an event that promises not only the possibility of purchase, but an experience enriched with history, culture and the joy of discovery. Whether you are a seasoned collector, a casual enthusiast or simply curious, Oswestry Fair offers a day out where the past is always present and every item has a story to tell.

6th September 2020 at 14:12Excellent, relaxed, enjoyable fair with one of the best organisers in the country.
You can find everything from traditional antiques to vintage clothing. There are three large halls one of which is a furniture hall where I have bought some beautiful pieces. As a dealer of 30 years it was always a pleasure to stand with the previous organisers but I can honestly say that jos events have turned this fair around and it will go from strength to strength. Well done and everyone needs to visit!
