Founded in April 2008, Brooklyn Flea has grown into one of New York City’s top attractions, operating flea markets every weekend of the year. The market features hundreds of top vendors of furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food. The New York Times called the Flea “One of the great urban experiences in New York”, and is regularly ranked by many magazines as one of the best markets in the U.S.
2017 update: After a brief stunt in Williamsburg, Saturday's edition of Brooklyn Flea moved to SOHO. For almost a decade, the iconic Brooklyn flea market was held in Fort Greene before moving to East River State Park in April 2017. After only a few weeks of activity in Williamsburg, the market had to be shut down due to neighbors' complaints about overcrowding the park. Since August 2017, the Brooklyn Flea's Saturday + Sunday market is taking place in SOHO. The days and hours of operations of Sunday flea market in DUMBO remain unchanged.
The Brooklyn Flea was originally planned to be organised alongside Saturday's edition of popular Smorgasburg - a giant food market, fulfilling every foodie's dream. Smorgasburg was originally launched in May 2011 and happens Saturdays in Williamsburg and Sundays at Prospect Park’s Breeze Hill. Smorgasburg showcases the best of Brooklyn’s artisanal food scene, with 100 local and regional vendors in a beautiful outdoor setting.
In winter (November through March), Brooklyn Flea moves indoors, into a single location at a former bank (Skylight One Hanson).

26th November 2015 at 23:10We visited the Fort Greene Brooklyn Flea on a gorgeous sunny afternoon and had a great time. There are tons of vendors and unique foods to try! We mostly just browsed because the market is full of vintage goods, furniture, and artist pieces that were out of our budget, but it was cool to see and is in a really nice part of Brooklyn. You get to see a lot of local flare and it is easy to access by the subway from Manhattan. Definitely a great way to spend a day in Brooklyn.

17th March 2016 at 20:39You can find everything from antique door knobs to furniture here. I thought the antique/ vintage prices were okay, but the food trucks are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. I’d shop here, then go sit down somewhere else to eat.

7th May 2016 at 14:59Pretty fun for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. “Flea market” sounds like it’s cheap, but no one who lives in Brooklyn expects the wares to be even somewhat cheap (it’s not. at all). The Smorgasburg stands are awesome. Excellent food there and nice variety for a small market.
