The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair is also known more simply as The Decorative Fair. It is a family-owned event that launched in 1985 to specifically unite the antiques and interior design trades. Three events are held throughout the year; one in winter, one in spring, and one in autumn. The fair takes place at Battersea Park in London and was the first event to set up the now well-known marquee venue in 1997.

The founder of The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair was inspired to create the event as she saw a need in the market for a friendly and relaxed occasion where interior design buyers could find everything they needed for their clients. The more traditional kind of antique fair was thought to be just a touch too formal, so the main exhibition area of The Decorative Fair is presented in an inspiring room-set type format.

The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair encapsulates a sense of discovery around every corner. Exhibits are filled with inspiring and mood-lifting items that aspire to be affordable to all. Vendors are only invited to participate in this fair if they already have an established business in the UK or Europe. Some are general dealers in decorative antiques and 20th-century design, others are more specialized. One thing they have in common is that each item that they select for their exhibit has a story to tell.

There is something to suit every taste, and budget, at The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair. Whether decorating an entire house, or just looking for some instant design gratification with a table lamp, mirror, or some glass or silverware, visitors will find it hard to leave without a choice purchase. The kinds of items found here include early oak and country furniture, folk art, silver and glassware, textiles, contemporary and traditional art, and more. This fair also offers a special Trade Shopping facility for overseas trade buyers, so even those that are not able to attend in person need not miss out on the fantastic items found here.

"Reserving flights 8 to 9 months in advance helps me manage my airfare expenses. Even in the best of times, many of the markets I follow in France don't publish their plans that far in advance. Fleamapket provides the newest information, well before I can find it online."
