Situated in one of Vienna’s hippest neighborhoods, this charming vintage design store is run by Katharina Marchgraber, an art historian by training (she graduated from Christie’s Education in Paris) and daughter of one of Austria’s most prominent antiques dealer. All of the pieces are selected by Katharina herself. In 2012, she decided to take the plunge and turn her passion for collecting beautiful things into a successful career. Most of the retro items you find in Catrinette will be from inspiring cities with buckets of history, such as Paris, New York, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Vienna. Discover stunning interior items from the 1900s to the 1980s, spread out over 100 meters squared of floor space. Katharina especially likes to collect lamps, because of the fundamental role they play in finishing the look of a room. You can expect to find a varied selection of trinkets at Catrinette, however, a large majority of the goods will be from the mid-twentieth century, particularly the 1950s and 1960s.
