Indipendenza Antiquaria

Indipendenza Antiquaria, is a specialized antique fair organized once a month by Confesercenti Firenze, in Florence, Italy.

This antique Fair was originally held back in 2001 in the gardens of the Fortezza da Basso, to which it owes its original name “Fortezza Antiquaria”. It then moved to Piazzale Vittorio Veneto to make room for the extension of tramway line 1. Finally, in 2018 the fair officially moved to the gardens of Piazza Indipendenza, 500 metres from Santa Maria Novella Station, under the name “Indipendenza Antiquaria”.

Every month, over 100 specialized professional antique dealers travel to Florence from various parts of Italy. Over all these years they have attracted and kept loyal customers, both Florentine and non-Florentine, making “Indipendenza Antiquaria” one of the most important antique fairs in a public area at a national level.

This charming little historic vintage and antique market will take you on a journey back in time. The items on sale at Indipendenza Antiquaria range from furniture to small costume jewellery, but also traditional Florentine artefacts, ideal to take with you as a souvenir of your holiday. On a broader scale, you will find antique furniture, coins, philately, books, prints, paintings, sculptures, modern antiques, porcelain, precious vintage accessories, unique pieces, and collectables.

The central location of Piazza Indipendenza, just a few steps from Florence Cathedral, also make for an enchanting setting for a walk among the delightful market stalls.
