VerzamelJaarbeurs Utrecht is one of the largest collectors fairs in Europe and takes place in the Netherlands. Twice a year, the huge exhibition hall, Jaareurs, in the center of the city of Utrecht, is transformed into a collector’s paradise, with 1000 stalls filled with unique vintage, antique, and curious objects. As the name suggests (Verzamel Jaarbeurs translates into English as Collecting Fair), this event is especially dedicated to collectors of antique objects of all kinds.

This fair takes place once in the spring and again in the autumn. Tickets usually go on sale a couple of months before the event takes place with an ‘early bird’ offer available at the start of sales, so it is a great idea for keen collectors to take advantage of this offer!

As well as the large size of the fair, another reason to make sure to attend VerzamelJaarbeurs Utrecht is the chance to meet and exchange inspiration with other collectors. This event has been described as one of the coziest collectors’ fairs and you will often see people sitting together, finding out more about the other’s passion, and admiring treasures found at the fair. For such a large event, it is wonderful that it retains such a friendly and welcoming vibe.

Almost anything that can be considered ‘collectible’ can be found at VerzamelJaarbeurs Utrecht. Helpfully, the exhibitors are divided into categories or zones, so that as a visitor you know exactly which areas to head for your own collecting needs! Vintage furniture can be found, alongside vinyl records, toys from all eras, games, stamps, postcards, photography, cameras, radios, pocket watches, china, and endless decorative and curious items.

VerzamelJaarbeurs Utrecht takes place over a weekend. As a trader, it is possible to purchase a ticket that grants early access to this fair, allowing a walk through of all the exhibitions on the Friday evening before the fair officially begins. For others, a day ticket or weekend ticket is available and children under 12 can enter for free. Of course, keen collectors will want to get into this fair as early as possible, so Saturday tickets tend to be a little more in demand than those for Sunday only.
