Cole’s Flea Market is both the largest and the oldest flea market in the city of Pearland, Texas. It opened in 1968 and from its first moments, it spanned over 44 acres of space, intent on opening with a bang and showing the locals how big a flea market can be! This flea market is open every weekend, come rain or shine. With stalls trading in both indoor or outdoor areas, the organizers have ensured that this market is well patronized and enjoyed to the fullest, all year round.
The number of vendors that set up shop at Cole’s Flea Market each weekend is quite incredible. It does vary a little from weekend to weekend, but visitors are guaranteed upwards of 1300 different stalls to browse around. So many stands mean that it can feel like a daunting task to see everything in one day, so visitors tend to arrive early to make the most of the day!
Doors are opened at a reasonable hour and there are always people chomping at the bit, waiting to be the first to get eyes on the awesome antiques and vintage goods available here. However, it is not imperative to be an early bird to get the best deals here. With so many vendors, there is more than enough to go around, even though around 15,000 shoppers may pass through on any given weekend!
As one would expect given the number of vendors, it is impossible to leave Cole’s Flea Market empty-handed. With so much variety through the stalls, there is definitely something here to suit every taste. Shoppers will see all kinds of blasts from the past, including vintage toys, clothing, furniture, vinyl records, electronics, comics, tools, sports memorabilia, Americana, advertising collectibles, curios, and so much more.
As well as the incredible antique and vintage vendors, Cole’s Flea Market welcome a number of food trucks to its events too. Live music also accompanies each flea, so there is a real celebratory atmosphere here every weekend. It makes for a great weekend for the whole family, whether antique collectors or not.
