Since the late 1990s, the Exeter Matford Antique and Collectors Fair has welcomed antique dealers and collectors to the cathedral city in the sleepy southwest of England. It has grown steadily over the years and now welcomes up to 150 traders each time it opens its doors. It is known in the area for being one of the few antique markets that only takes place on a Saturday, and as it is not a regular occurrence, it is definitely worth noting the dates of this market and being in the area at the right time!
The Exeter Matford Antique and Collectors Fair has both indoor and outdoor stalls. This means that you can shop and browse come rain or shine. There seems to be something for everyone at this fantastic antiques market, and the items are well priced too, so there is something for everyone. Collectors may wish to arrive when the doors open for the best chance of snagging the most sought-after items, and haggling skills should always be used to get the best deal.
Visitors to the Exeter Matford Antique and Collectors Fair are guaranteed a wide variety of items for sale. Fantastic pieces of furniture, both large and small, can be seen alongside jewellery, crystal, ornaments, vases and other china, textiles, artwork, signage, clocks, abacuses and much more. It can take a while to get around all the stalls and you can easily spend the whole day here.
There are plenty of refreshments available at the Exeter Matford Antique and Collectors Fair. There is a restaurant on site so shoppers never have to leave the market. Hot and cold food is available throughout the day, as well as a selection of drinks and snacks. This means that bargain hunters can easily sustain themselves throughout the day.
