The Farmgirl Flea Market is a true gem in the heart of West Michigan, offering an enchanting mix of vintage, antique and handmade artisan goods. Held three times a year, this delightful market is a must for anyone who appreciates unique finds and the charm of local craftsmanship. Whether you're a seasoned flea market aficionado or a curious newcomer, Farmgirl Flea promises an unforgettable experience.
The market was born out of the shared passion of Faith Lukianenko, Karen Mead and Jessica Plaisier, who, after years of travelling far and wide in search of their antique treasures, decided to create a local hub for like-minded enthusiasts. Their first event in 2016 was modest, with about 80 vendors taking up half of the Hudsonville Fairgrounds. Today, Farmgirl Flea has grown exponentially, attracting more than 8,000 attendees per event and featuring up to 250 vendors during its bustling Holiday Market.
Each of the three annual events - Spring Market, Autumn Market and Holiday Market - offers a unique atmosphere and a wealth of goods. The Spring Market is a vibrant affair with vendors selling everything from indoor and outdoor spring decor to yard and garden products, farm decor, antiques and even vintage campers. You can also find boutique clothing, painted and repurposed furniture, unique gifts and handmade items. It's a fantastic opportunity to refresh your home for the new season with one-of-a-kind pieces.
With its cosy, festive atmosphere, the Autumn Market is the perfect place to stock up on autumn decor and get a head start on your holiday shopping. It's not just about the shopping; the market is a full-on event with live music performances to add a lively soundtrack to your browsing. Bands such as Jake Hoult & Band, Crooked Root Band and Mike McLain set the tone with their engaging performances, making it a fun day out for the whole family.
Food lovers will be delighted with the variety of culinary options at the Farmgirl Flea. From the award-winning BBQ of Holy Smokers to the sweet treats of Happy Camper Donuts and the gourmet tacos and nachos of Righteous Cuisine, there is something for everyone. You can also indulge in gourmet burgers from Patty Matters, sandwiches and wraps from Fork in the Road, Vitales Pizza and delicious cupcakes from Stud Muffin's Cupcakes. Refreshments like fresh-squeezed lemonade, coffee and even beer, wine and sangria will keep you hydrated and happy as you explore.
The Holiday Market is the grand finale of the year, with more than 250 vendors offering an extensive selection of holiday decorations, gifts and winter essentials. It's the perfect place to find unique gifts that will delight your loved ones and add a special touch to your holiday celebrations.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the Farmgirl Flea is its commitment to supporting local businesses and artisans. Each vendor is carefully vetted to ensure a quality shopping experience, showcasing products you won't find in big box stores. When you shop at Farmgirl Flea, you're not only finding unique treasures, you're supporting small businesses and keeping money in the community.
Tickets for the Farmgirl Flea can be purchased online at www.farmgirlflea.com or at the gate upon arrival. Prices are $15 for a two-day pass (Friday and Saturday) or $5 for Saturday only, and children under 12 get in free. So gather up your family and friends and make a day of it at the Farmgirl Flea Market, where there's really something for everyone. Whether you're looking for vintage finds, handmade goods or just a fun day out, Farmgirl Flea is the place to be.
