As the capital of Alabama, Montgomery obviously has a lot to offer visitors, including avid antique artifact hunters! The city has become nationally known for its ongoing downtown redevelopment and has one of the largest art scenes of any mid-sized American city. When it comes to vintage and antique stores, Montgomery does not disappoint.
Most of Montgomery's antique shops are located south of the Alabama River. However, it is worth taking a short drive north to explore the shops on the outskirts of town. Prattville Pickers is an incredible antique mall with more than 300 independent vendors offering unique, quality antiques of all shapes and sizes in over 100,000 square feet of space. Their soundtrack even brings the nostalgia home, as only hits from the 70's and 80's are played to accompany the shopping! Not too far away is Memories Vintage Market, a little smaller with 100 vendors, but just as wide a selection of goods to explore.
In the heart of downtown Montgomery is the Eastbrook Antique Flea Market and Antique Mall. This huge market also boasts about 300 individual vendors spread over more than 60,000 square feet! From vinyl records to historic photographs, there is nothing you will not find here. A little further east is Amy's Antique and Flea Mall, with both great antiques and some beautifully refurbished vintage goods. The furniture here is especially worth browsing. If you are in the market for a little vintage interior design inspiration, be sure to check out Montgomery Antiques and Interiors. The spacious showroom highlights the pieces and displays them in a way that feels more like a gallery than a shop.
These are some of the larger antique stores in Montgomery. More gems can be found on almost every corner! JB's Antiques is across the street from Eastbrook Antique Flea and ExVoto Vintage Jewelry is a gorgeous specialty store. Enough to keep any antique hunter or vintage lover busy!
