Auderghem is famous for flea markets. The two most renown are la Grande Brocante d’Hermann-Debroux (the great Hermann-Debroux flea market) and la brocante du parking du Carrefour d’Auderghem (Auderghem junction flea market) that take place once a month.
These flea markets welcome visitors in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, which makes them particularly friendly to a younger and older audience. Smaller flea markets also await visitors once a month on the Place Pinoy, and on the Boulevard du Souverain. Note that since 2016, the flea market on Place Pinoy focuses exclusively on items for children, such as second-hand clothes and toys. Expect to find pleasant neighborhood flea markets, not necessarily high-end antiques.
Antiquing Tip Of The Day
There’s no perfect recipe for incorporating vintage items with new decor. Try not to go overboard with flea-market finds. Mixing and matching decor from different eras needs to be carefully curated and can be a slow process, so patience is key.
