The story of the Brussels Vintage Market started back in 2010 at Madame Moustache, a Brussels café, with about a dozen vintage vendors. The idea was to give young artists an opportunity to sell their collections without having to open a shop. Today, the Brussels Vintage Market is located at the charming Halles Saint-Géry (a historic site in the heart of Brussels that is well known among the locals), and features around 40 vintage and second-hand merchants and more than 20 designers.
The Brussels Vintage Market is held once a month, and welcomes nearly 2500 visitors at every event. Visitors can indulge in a wide array of vintage and second hand clothing, accessories, small furniture, as well as the designers’ original collections. Vintage fashion at the Brussels Vintage Market today encompasses several genres, as old styles are permanently reinterpreted and customized by today’s fashion artists. No wonder why this event somehow unconsciously awakens the nostalgia for our childhood and past generations…
All in all, the Brussels Vintage Market makes for a fun shopping experience in an original setting where you can enjoy a drink among friends or a lunch on the terrace, while retro DJ’s put the spring in your step at the sound of their exquisite vinyl collection.
Last but not least: be sure to check out other related events like the Antwerp Vintage Market, Vintage per Kilo Sale, and the Flashback festival.
