The Buxton Antique and Collectors Fair is organized by Halcyon Fairs and has been held in the gardens of the Buxton Pavilion since the early 1980s. Such a long standing event has obviously remained popular over the decades for good reasons and the organizers pride themselves on their insider knowledge, having been dealers themselves with over 40 years experience. It also means that they have a great passion for antiques, keeping their finger on the pulse of changing tastes and trends, while embracing traditional antiques and classics.
Held in the recently renovated Octagon Ballroom, the Buxton Antique and Collectors Fair brings together over 100 dealers to showcase their wares and share their knowledge with keen shoppers and collectors. The dealers are carefully selected so that there is a wide variety of items on display, enough to appeal to both serious collectors and the more casual browsers. The vendors also create a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere at these markets, and the friendly vibes are one of the main reasons that visitors return to these shows time and time again.
As a rather infrequent market, the Buxton Antique and Collectors Fair can always guarantee new stock and interesting finds for even the most regular visitors. Vendors specialize in a wide variety of antique and vintage goods, including clothing, jewelry, pocket watches, shelving and other furniture, textiles and other wall hangings, artwork, mirrors, light fixtures and lamps, pens, stamps, antique and vintage toys, and much more. The prices are more than reasonable, so there is definitely something for every taste and budget.
The Buxton Antique and Collectors Fair is certainly a highlight of the antique scene in the North of England. There is a small entrance fee to the fair, but children are free. With plenty of refreshments available on site, this is the perfect weekend day out, rain or shine.
