East Market Milano

What started as a kind of swap-meet between friends soon grew into the popular flea market that East Market Milano now is, and professional dealers joined since then the crowd of private individuals that sell their wares here.

East Market Milano is one of the most famous vintage markets in Italy. It is still fairly new on the scene, and changed location in 2018 to a large, indoor warehouse allowing the market to take place rain or shine throughout the year. Hosting upwards of 300 vendors each month, East Market Milano has become quite the meeting place for collectors from all over Italy and beyond to enjoy the wares and browse through the stands.

East London’s markets like Brick Lane, Old Spitalfields and Hackney Flea Market were the inspiration for the naming of East Market Milano. This flea market was a home-grown idea, the brain child of two vintage enthusiasts with a love of all things second hand and retro. What started as a kind of swap-meet between friends soon grew into the popular flea market that East Market Milano now is, and professional dealers joined since then the crowd of private individuals that sell their wares here.

There is such a huge variety of goods for sale at East Market Milano that visitors here will not be bored. There is clothing and accessories, CDs and record collections, furniture, books, posters, comics and magazines, military memorabilia, retro lamps, video games, tools, electronics, ornaments and more. In addition to professional dealers and more typical private vendors selling their own goods, there are also local artists and designers who take the chance and exhibit their wares and DIY projects here. It is therefore a great opportunity for all that attend.

Pricing of the items sold at East Market Milano is very fair, and there are some wonderful bargain to be found. Visitors should be ready to haggle, and not take no for an answer!

In addition to the market area, East Market Milano has become almost as well known for its food stands as it is for its vintage goods. There is a great area devoted to refreshments, and feasts can be had here! There is an appetizing selection of local specialties, and of course plenty of wine and beer to sample! A day shopping at East Market Milano is certainly one well spent, and an experience that will want to be repeated.
