Formerly known as Scotfairs Antique Vintage and Collectors Fairs, the Glasgow Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair and its sister fair the Ayr Antiques, Vintage & Collectors Fair are two highly anticipated events that each feature friendly and welcoming vendors selling an eclectic mix of home décor, vintage, small furniture, jewelry and silver and gold watches and antiques.
The Glasgow Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair and the Ayr Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair are open approximately once a month, although dates vary, so it is best to check their websites for exact dates at each location. Be sure to do so, as any antique enthusiast or seasoned collector will definitely be spoiled while browsing the stalls at these markets.
With up to 12,000 visitors making their way to the Glasgow Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair and the Ayr Antiques, Vintage & Collectors Fair, serious collectors will want to make sure they arrive as soon as the events open to get that coveted first look at the treasures for sale. With so many wonderful antiques on display, it is easy to get lost among the booths. Many of the vendors are professionals, but the show organizers encourage the less experienced to try their hand at selling some of the valuable vintage items found in their estates. Appraisals are also offered here, making the fairs the perfect, welcoming environment for anyone with an interest in antiques.
The Glasgow Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair and the Ayr Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair pride themselves on the range of items their vendors have for sale. The general public can have a day of shopping and collectors will not be disappointed. You are guaranteed to find pottery, china and glassware, antique and vintage jewelry, artwork, paintings and prints, vintage books, copper and brass items, silverware, linens, furniture (tends to be smaller pieces at these fairs) and many smaller items such as stamps, coins, postcards and more.
There is a small admission fee for both fairs, but all who visit will agree that it is more than worth it. Whichever location you are able to visit, shoppers are guaranteed to find wonderful items with plenty of history and will definitely not leave empty-handed.
