University Pickers all started with a tiny booth and a love for all things old and beautiful. Two sisters, with a passion for bargain hunting, beautiful items, and hard work came together to sell the things that they loved. What started small grew over time and they now have two large antique malls in Alabama. The heart of their enterprise remains in the community though and they are often involved in local charitable events and use their antique malls to host creative retreats and classes.
Over the years, University Pickers has become recognized as a stand-out antique mall. They were awarded 2017 Retailer of the Year by Huntsville’s Chamber of Commerce and in 2020 they were awarded the Best of BAMA-Antique Mall and Best of Huntsville Consignment Shop. It is easy to see why collectors come from miles around to browse these awesome malls! Each has over 12,000 square feet of space and more than 100 vendors trading within. University Pickers pride themselves on the business opportunities they afford smaller entrepreneurs and of course love the variety of different vintage items that so many vendors bring to their malls.
It is almost impossible to leave either of the University Pickers' antique malls empty-handed. There is a little something for everyone within, ranging from furniture, vintage finds, antiques, handcrafted goods, gift items, DIY products, home accessories, and a bit of boutique clothing and jewelry. Picking is a time-consuming process, so University Pickers are pleased to be able to do the leg work for their customers and bring so many fantastic items under one roof for customers to browse at their leisure.
Despite the size of the malls, University Pickers remains a small business. Their commitment to excellent, personalized customer service is felt by every single person that shops in their malls. Whether a seasoned antique collector or someone interested in unique, rather than mass-produced, items, visitors are guaranteed to have a great experience shopping in these malls.
