The Walthamstow Flea Market is relatively new to the London flea market scene. It is a collaboration between Truman's Social Club and the Hackney Flea Market, a company that has already made a name for itself in the London flea market scene with other events such as the Hackney Flea Market, the Peckham Salvage Yard, the Hackney Record Fair, The Big South London Flea Market and Peckham Record Fair. The large building close to Tottenham has always had great potential for events and it turns out to be the perfect location for an incredible vintage and antique market!
With over 60 vintage and antique stallholders, Walthamstow Flea Market has quickly put itself on the map for collectors and lovers of all things vintage. Held on selected Sundays throughout the year, the market does not yet appear to have a fixed schedule, so keep an eye on their website for upcoming dates. Unlike typical flea markets that start at the crack of dawn, this one has a more leisurely opening time of 11am, so you can still indulge in a Sunday lie-in and still make it to the market when it opens.
The venue for the Walthamstow flea market, Truman's Social Club, is the UK's largest beer hall. So you can expect plenty of beer at this flea market! Street food stalls join the vintage stalls, making the market feel more like a street fair than a market. This lively, welcoming atmosphere is one of the reasons for the market's instant popularity.
Of course, the other reason for the popularity of Walthamstow Flea Market is the fantastic vintage and antique items that can be found here. Visitors can find records, board games, artwork, street signs, lamps, telephones, taxidermy, comics, soft toys, books, cameras, glassware, china, vases, clocks, globes, carpets and much more. The perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
