The Wild Rose Antique Collectors Society has an admirable mission, which is to unite persons interested in antiques and collectibles, to promote the preservation of historical heritage through the conservation of objects and data, and to encourage education in areas pertaining to antiques and collectibles. This society has been enjoying sharing its love of antiques since 1974 and now has over 300 members, proving there is a real love of antiques and collecting in Alberta! Each year this society has a weekend show and sale, which is a fantastic get-together for antique aficionados in the area.
The Wild Rose Antique Collectors Society Annual Show and Sale is the largest of its kind in Western Canada and is an event that draws in serious collectors of antiques, historians, researchers, and of course anyone who simply loves to shop for unique and beautiful items. It has been a regular fixture in the antiquing world for many years and is highly anticipated. It is the one time in the year that the members of this society can share their love of the history wrapped up in antiques with the wider community and encourage everyone to find out a little more about the past. This event definitely inspires new collectors each year!
As well as the annual markets, the Wild Rose Antique Collectors Society is active in its community and charitable efforts. They support various projects of historical foundations and groups regarding the collection, research, restoration, and public display of antiques and collectibles. They have also amassed quite an impressive research library over the years. Anyone with a hankering to find out a little more about specific antiques, or who is tempted to start a collection of their own will find themselves welcome indeed at the Wild Rose Antique Collectors Society, and the annual show and sale is the perfect place to get started.
