Luikse Markt Arnhem takes place during the summer months in Arnhem in the Netherlands. Many vendors congregate on the parking lot of the GelreDome to display their wares to the public. This is always a well-organized and well-attended antique and vintage market since it has amassed a reputation for selling plenty of interesting antiques, curios, and collectible items. It is not what you may think of as a typical flea market, with only second-hand goods to be found, which is what makes it such an exciting market to look around.
A parking lot does not sound like the most glamorous of locations to host the Luikse Markt Arnhem but it is such a sprawling space that vendors can comfortably set up their stalls without feeling crowded. Once all the stalls are set up with their striped tent roofs providing shelter, the space is transformed into a wonderful market square. The tent awnings mean that a little weather protection is afforded, so whether it may be sunny and warm or a tad showery, bargain hunters will not be totally exposed to the elements.
With around 400 vendors taking part, you never know what you might find at the Luikse Markt Arnhem. In the past, stalls have displayed mannequins, furniture, vintage toys, crockery, jewelry, telephones, cameras, decorative items, works of art, stamp collections, and plenty of curios that refuse to be categorized. The vendors come from all over the Netherlands and some journey in from surrounding countries to be part of this large market. With the crowds that usually attend, it can be worth the journey to claim a stall here.
There is a small entrance fee to visit the Luikse Markt Arnhem and children under the age of 12 can go in for free. This small fee is more than worth it for the chance to see so many awesome vintage items and antique pieces in one location.
