Standing outside Old Goods in Terborg, the Netherlands, the front door opens onto a long, expansive corridor through the displays, leading so far into the store that you cannot see the end of it. This immediately creates a sense of intrigue and wonder. It invites you to explore the unknown depths of this store and discover the wonderful vintage treasures hidden within. Unfortunately, this store is not open to the public for browsing. Interested buyers and collectors must contact the owner to make an appointment in advance.
The founder and owner of Old Goods is passionate about vintage and antique items, especially industrial finds. To find them, he and his team drive many kilometers through Belgium, France, Germany and Eastern Europe. The items are sourced from many different sources; they visit other dealers, antique fairs whenever they are held, markets, auction houses, and also the homes of private individuals who have interesting items for sale. They never seem to rest in their treasure hunt and new items appear in the store almost daily.
Old Goods boasts a 1300 square foot showroom. In addition to their physical store, they have an incredible website that details each of their available pieces. They ship all over the world, so their online store is definitely a treat for those who cannot make it to the Netherlands in person. However you choose to shop with them, you can expect to find chairs, rocking chairs, cabinets, armoires, drawers, tables, lighting fixtures, architectural design fixtures, clocks, paintings, chests, posters, vases, mirrors, tapestries, pottery, statues, and more.
Those in the market for something special would do well to keep in touch with Old Goods. Because the team is always on the hunt, they are happy to keep their eyes open for specific items, wherever they may be. This makes them an ideal way for collectors to acquire goods from the comfort of their own homes!
