Weerselose Market
The Weerselose Market is one of the most popular indoor and outdoor flea markets in the Netherlands. It is open for trading every Saturday and selects Sundays each month, and between 1500 and 5000 shoppers stop by to check out the wares every market day. More than 200 traders set up shop each time the flea market opens its doors. The stalls run the gambit from antique collectors to those having had an attic clear-out. Therefore, there is something at this flea to suit all tastes and, more importantly, all budgets!
As well as the regular market days, the Weerselose Market also has special fleas on select dates throughout the year. These usually take place during national holidays. At these flea markets, the area is expanded and filled with special music artists and local bands. Each of these ‘bonus’ markets is special in its own way. Hundreds of occasional traders offer special products and discounts. For younger visitors, extra markets may contain free pony rides, a mini funfair, balloons, food trucks, and more. Of course, there are still awesome vintage goods and antiques to be found at these events too!
There is a tiny admission fee of €1 per person to attend the Weerselose Market. This is more than worth it for the chance to spend a few hours in a fantastic atmosphere and to snap up some bargains on collectible gems. Children under 12 enter for free, as do dogs! Kids will be pleased to see the bouncy castle on site for their entertainment, and the whole family can enjoy refreshments at the restaurant. The main space for the flea market is open-plan spreading over 20,000 square meters, though there are also some covered areas principally dedicated to antiques, so the market can be enjoyed whatever the weather may do.
Visitors to the Weerselose Market will find a wide selection of different vintage items on display. A little bit of everything is for sale, from attic finds to pottery to furniture. Each market brings something different, so it is worth popping back each time!
