Naarden the Art Fair has been held every year since the 1990s and is still a highly anticipated and appreciated event in the Netherlands. Today it is one of the most important art fairs in the country, with around 65 carefully selected galleries and art dealers presenting a wide range of old, modern, and contemporary art.
The Grote Kerk Naarden has been the permanent location of this art fair since its inception and this beautiful church is the perfect place for such an event. It usually takes place over 5 days and during this time crowds come from all over the Netherlands and Belgium for the chance to see the quality and rare works of art displayed at this fair.
To exhibit works of art at Naarden the Art Fair, exhibitors are subject to rigorous quality checks carried out by sworn appraisers of art and antiques prior to the start of the fair. Buyers can therefore be sure of the quality and authenticity of all the works on display and can purchase with confidence whatever catches their eye. The range of art to be found at the fair is both beautiful and varied, which is why collectors and enthusiasts from all over the country and further afield have come to shop at the fair since its inception.
Naarden the Art Fair traditionally takes place at the end of January each year. More than 65 professional dealers exhibit their finest works and there is always a great variety of old, modern and contemporary art. There are also special antiques to be found here, so collectors of all kinds of historical items can be found in the crowds. The displays are set up to look as if they were hanging in a museum, making it a pleasure to walk around.
It is easy to admire each piece and all too easy to make a list of works you would like to see hanging on your walls at home! Whatever your level of art knowledge, this is a fair well worth a visit. You cannot help but be impressed by the beauty of the exhibits.
