Located in Tignieu-Jameyzieu, 40 minutes from Lyon, Le Village des Brocanteurs is a unique and vibrant destination for antique lovers and treasure hunters. Founded in 2016 by a trio of passionate friends, this market has quickly become one of the few renowned brocante villages in France. It was ingeniously constructed from 25 repurposed shipping containers, along with a decommissioned airplane and a wind turbine, giving it an eclectic and creative atmosphere.
The village is home to approximately 30 permanent vendors who occupy these containers, each of which has been transformed into individual shops. These vendors offer a wide variety of antiques, collectibles and vintage items. From Art Deco furniture to 1950s Pop Art memorabilia, visitors will find a wide range of items to suit different tastes and eras. The charm of the marketplace lies not only in the diversity of its offerings, but also in the personal experience each vendor brings. Each shop reflects the style and passion of its owner, making each visit a journey through time and design.
Le Village des Brocanteurs is open every weekend, from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and partially on Friday afternoons. The Village also welcomes additional vendors on Sundays, including both professional dealers and casual sellers, creating a dynamic environment that's always full of new discoveries. In addition, on the second Sunday of each month, the Village hosts a classic car gathering that attracts both car enthusiasts and brokers, adding to the Village's lively and community-focused atmosphere.
The market is not just about shopping, it's also a social experience. The on-site B'Rock Café provides a comfortable place for visitors to enjoy a meal or drink, making it easy to spend an entire day exploring and relaxing. The café's menu caters to a variety of appetites, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy while taking a break from treasure hunting.
With free admission and ample parking, Le Village des Brocanteurs is an accessible and welcoming place for anyone interested in antiques or simply looking for a unique outing near Lyon.
